Cirrus is pleased to present Recess, a group show of emerging artists living and working in Los Angeles, curated by Brienne Arrington and Dan Bayles. Artists engage themes both playful and melancholy, utilizing multiple mediums including video, photography and sculpture in order to create work that comments on socio-cultural attributes that have shaped their lives and practices.The exhibiting artists include Chris Ellis, Heather Cantrell, Kenji Hashimoto, Dawn Kasper, Ruben Ochoa, and Noah Peffer. Each artists work challenges societal norms providing viewers with a recess from the ordinary.
